With this scenario, I believe that keywords with low competition will change this year. Webmasters will begin to accept keywords with even just more than 50 searches per month. They have to look for keywords with very low competition (less than 100 competing pages or so) so even phrases with few number of searches will be acceptable. There is a bunch of ways on how to be successful despite the very stiff competition today and I can tell you some of them but that would be great for another article.
